Senior Consultant Meteorology and Forecasting
Frank is a scientific programmer with extensive background knowledge in meteorology. Frank completed a PhD in acoustic remote sensing in 1987 from Melbourne University and has worked for many years as a lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology. Since joining Katestone in 2000 Frank has designed and constructed several software packages for both external and internal use.
Frank has been heavily involved with the Katestone / Meat and Livestock Australia heat load forecasting service for the cattle feedlot industry, a web based service that Katestone has provided since 2001 and more recently, heat load forecasting for the dairy industry. He is also responsible for implementing the data acquisition and processing and web based delivery system for the Coal Dust Loss project for Queensland Rail and is responsible for the majority of the implementation of the email alert system for the Port Kembla Coal Terminal.
