Katestone celebrates its 30th Anniversary
Last Friday, the 1st of November 2019, we celebrated Katestone’s 30th Anniversary with friends, customers, partners and previous employees at the Regatta Hotel.
It was a very pleasant evening where we could celebrate 30 years of contributing to Clear Skies. Katestone’s Managing Director, Christine Killip, spoke of her many memories of working with our great clients, staff and Katestone’s founders, Peter Best and Karen Lunney.
Katestone has produced more than 4,000 reports related to air quality since it began. This work has led the company to investigate a number of related fields. One in particular, is the investigation of weather-related risks to businesses. To help customers understand the impact of weather on their businesses, Katestone launched Weather Intelligence a company that is dedicated to using state-of-the-art tools, such as forecasting, to help clients manage their weather-related risks.
Christine pointed out that both Katestone and Weather Intelligence are heading away from the “one-size-fits-all” approach and are developing site-specific solutions for air quality management and weather-related risks.
Finally, Christine spoke of Katestone’s vision “Clear Skies for our clients and communities now and for future generations”. As a token of appreciation, and to commemorate the occasion, Katestone’s friends left with tree seeds to plant so that we can together Clear the Skies.
